Welcome to music is amazing!

Welcome to our amazing level 1 music program! We have made this flexible, interactive, creative, and user friendly!  We want to make this work for you!  To help with this, we use technology that works with your schedule and location.  We don't want to just teach those in our neighborhood who live close by, we want to teach ANYONE who wants to learn!  That is why we deliver these lessons virtually.  We still have a live teacher, right there actually teaching every lesson, and an assistant to make sure we keep things as personal as we can. This is not a video your student just watches and then completes assignment for, these lessons are completely in real time and actively engaging each student. We have curated our activities to not only work with zoom, but we use it's features to make them even better! Convenient, interactive, creative and FUN!  That is the Music is Amazing way! 

We use the Google Classroom platform for both live and in-person materials and send you the physical materials needed, included in the price (except if you choose to purchase a keyboard from us, that is extra to keep our prices lower overall), so you are all ready! 

Lessons are one hour long, once a week. We do group lessons to enhance the learning process and the activities are designed to be group interactive, even across the virtual platform! We cap the groups at five students to ensure there is still plenty of individual attention given, from both the teacher and assistant. We need the student to practice the material at home a minimum of a half-hour a day (can be broken up as needed during the day), six days a week! Repetition is key! This program will not be successful if this is not done and we check in each week to see how practice is going.  

Each session is 10 weeks long with a recital after the ten weeks. We like to try and meet school schedules the best we can, so we start sessions in September, January, April, and then have a summer session starting in June.  

The class period is spent on active, engaging, interactive instruction including group learning activities and then time for the teacher and assistant to meet with students individually to see how they are doing, answer any questions, review their last practice week and get them set up for the upcoming practice week.   

Students entering the program are required to have a piano or keyboard at home to practice on.  If you do not have one yet, no worries!  We can help!  We have resources we can recommend or you can buy one from us! We gather low priced but good quality keyboards to have ready for you. 

Each student is required to find a coach for the program.  This is integral to the program in that the student needs someone to teach the material to so they retain and understand it better!  We also know that having an accountability person that keeps a watch over practicing habits, and encourages learning makes all the difference.  Read our founder's story for an example of the power of a support person when learning a new skill! 

The coach does not have a big time commitment and doesn't need to have any musical background at all, as a matter of fact, they will learn all of the material from their student! Free music lessons for the coach!  We have one training session at the start for coaches, and we do ask the coach to come to lesson one if possible, but we don't ask them to come to anymore than that. They are welcome to if they want to, but not required and if the student has to teach the materials from scratch it helps further understanding in the long run. We send weekly coach notes to summarize the lessons, give ideas for questions to ask, and suggestions on how to support the student that week. The main job for the coach is supporting the student, letting the student teach them all of the materials, and encouraging their practicing between lessons!  

This coach can be a relative, a friend, a teacher, anyone who the student feels they can work with and trust, and we find this creates a cool bond!  Because these lessons are virtual, it can even be someone long distance! Mom, Dad, or whoever the student's guardian is is just fine, but this also gives the chance to create yet another mentor in the student's life!  We ask that the person be older than the student if at all possible to bring along the natural effect of maturity in as a guide. There is no cost or monetary compensation involved, but the coach does get any basic lesson materials wanted from us, a closer relationship with their student, and the lifelong lasting knowledge they learn from what their student and our program teaches them!

For the final recital, we get to employ the cool power of group performances over zoom.. This was commonly done during COVID and we have adopted the opportunities it presents! Students will showcase their individual and group pieces in a fun event. The date and time will be arranged for each group individually. We invite any and all attendees who wish to come and support their student! Coaches and students will receive a fun thank you! 

For  our prices,  We keep our pricing straight forward, simple, and our payment methods flexible. Our rates and comparable to or lower than most music lessons offered today! We offer as much material as a year or two of lessons using our engaging techniques to aid retention, so students get a lot of knowledge for not a lot of price! As you read in the overview, if a student continues on to level two and even beyond, they end up getting paid back all or most of what they paid for the program and even more!

The price for each Level one lesson is $25 so with four lessons a month, is $100 a month if that makes it easier, or the 10 week program paid altogether is $250. We have multiple payment options to make this fit your budget. See below for payment links. The cost of the lessons goes directly to the teachers, assistants, and materials only.  We charge what is needed to actually execute the program and no more. We are in this to TEACH the love of music and TEACH life skills, and we keep that our focus! 

We have a pay it forward program to help those who need payment assistance.  If you are able, we ask that you help to help us share an extra lesson or whatever you can contribute to help us spread the joy of music and learning, and gaining life skills to help provide future income opportunities for a lifetime! You are truly helping to change a life! 

Our level  2 program teaches just how powerful and amazing learning can be when it leads to a career!  Though similar across topic areas in our learning is amazing program, this level is still catered to each topic to a degree. This level is unique in that it can be taken right after level 1, or can be a stand-alone for those who already have a solid skillset in the level 1 topic area and want to jump in the program for the the professional skills taught.  We also have no problem with repeats for either level! If level 1 or 2 needs to be taken several times for mastery, great! Even more retention and understanding! We want success for each student and however that works best, we will do! 

For those coming into level 2 after level 1, you will still have a familiar experience because you now get to attend a 10 week, level 1 class set again and learn the materials even more, but you will now be the assistant in the class, and we pay you for it! We want you to experience using your knowledge to build your job skills first hand! Also, this helps cement your music skills even more as you teach even more of the concepts again, and experience the material again. 

Your job in these groups will be to keep an overall watch on the students in the class to help the class run smoothly, help the teacher teach anything that requires an extra person, answer any questions that arise that you feel comfortable answering, and assist the teacher as they meet one on one with students to see how their practice is going.  The teacher will always be there with you, you will never be required to teach the class alone at all. If you feel like you want to teach a concept or two during the lesson and the teacher feels this is appropriate you can, but this in on an individual basis and completely your decision. Each week you will have time to meet with the teacher after the lesson briefly to discuss how the class went, learn some teaching techniques, get any suggestions or guidance needed (we are open to and appreciate your suggestions too!), and ask any questions you have. 

In this level 1 attendance portion, you can choose how deep you want to go into the level 1 music curriculum again as far as the weekly practice assignments.  They are optional for you as the assistant,  and you will have your own curriculum set in your level 2 classes that will take a good amount of time. We recommend you do keep practicing however you can to keep your music skills sharp and increasing always, and continue for a lifetime for that matter! Practice makes perfect! But we don't want to overwhelm you so this is all up to you as to how often you do this.  

For your level 2 specific classes, we give you critical, lifelong applicable skills to manage your finances, the teach you how to create your own business now or in the future and how entrepreneurship works, we teach teaching stills that apply through a lifetime, and we give you our personalized business and financial coaching all along the way. Don't worry, we make it fun and age appropriate just like level 1!    

The financial management and business creation/entrepreneurship direct instruction is given through Dave Ramsey's Foundations courses. These courses are self-study by design, and the base curriculum will be completed self study, with coaches just a call away if needed, but also in our program we give more direct instruction and guidance in our continuing weekly classes. 

The classes and the self study courses are also ten weeks long and are $20 a week. This includes the cost of the Foundations program, all coaching and instruction, and our assitant groups essetually make this level free with income left over!!  We do ask for payment for the lessons and then pay you for assisting in a separate process rather than just direct discounts on the program in order to give you the experience of managing a paycheck.  

The Ramsey Foundations programs are filled with engaging info, and exercises to help you learn to manage the money you bring in, prepare for the future, keep your finances growing and balanced throughout your life, and how to create a business in whatever area you want to during your life.  

Our weekly classes will be a half-hour long to give time for your self-study and your level one assistant activities. We will review what you learned that week in your studies, give our curated instruction and answer any questions or concerns you have. You will have direct contact info to our coaches for this portion and beyond! We want you to succeed for a lifetime! 

The time commitment for the self study material combined with the weekly classes is less than what is needed for level 1. Adding the assistant portion does create a slightly larger amount of time needed overall, but not a large amount and we feel that the experience of earning money in a job and having an educational component at the same time is part of the experience!  We do keep it age appropriate however and are not here to interfere with students' regular school work.  If adjustments need to be made to keep a balance, we are completely flexible!   

After level 2,  If you choose to stay in our program, we welcome you! You can continue assisting in level 1 classes and attending any of the level 2 classes you want review on, at no extra cost, and we still pay you for assisting! Essentially, you become a regular employee (on a contractor basis, we will teach you what that means!) in our program with the educational review benefits there to use as you wish. Essentially, If you stayed on one more 10-week session, at the end of 30 weeks you will have received a free, lifelong music and career education! (depending on group sizes along the way, but we aim for 5!) 

Once you have the needed age, experience, confidence and understanding of the curriculum and processes we use, we open up the option for you to become the teacher in our level 1 classes! We continue to guide to ensure a smooth process, but you can then see how knowledge comes back full-circle.  You can stay with our program as long as you wish in this capacity. 

If you choose to branch out on your own, we support you the whole way! You have full, forever contact to our coaches for any questions or guidance and we even let you take along our curriculum to use if you choose to!
